Director

The Director is the brain of FarEarth. It directs the execution of Workflows, assigning jobs to FarEarth's distributed components.

• Keeps track of data
• Monitors progress throughout the lifecycle of an Order
• Controls access to resources and your data
• Enables you to monitor, control, and configure FarEarth through the interface
• Monitors the health of each platform component
• Maintains a repository of Workflow templates
• Determines the sequence of steps in the Workflow, creates jobs for each step, and assigns them to Processors
• Sends notifications and alerts
