Pickups

The Datapoint component is the entry for your data into FarEarth. It monitors multiple pickup locations for your input data and triggers processing. Datapoints enables integration with your external data stores or acquisition service.

You can configure cloud storage providers as pickups for your data. You can control what data is processed through the web interface with storage event queues. Alternatively, you can directly interact with FarEarth's external APIs.

A Pickup is a specific configuration of a Datapoint.

Each pickup automatically triggers a specific workflow, creating a new order. You can configure standing order parameters on the pickup. It is possible to set up multiple pickups for the same workflow but with different parameters. For detailed control, you can specify parameters per order by supplying an order file with the input data. The Datapoint ensures that all input data is processed and preserved until the order is completed.
